How much EMF do mobile phones emit?
This chart shows how there are huge variances between different types and makes of phones. By comparing the specific absorption rate (SAR) value underneath each phone, it can be seen how the Motorola StarTac performs best with an SAR value of 0.10. The Philips Genie comes out worst with an SAR value of 2.67, some 27 times higher than the StarTac. It can also be seen how the SAR value can vary on the same phone depending on whether the antenna is in or out.
